4 In The Morning

Gothic! So lautet das Thema für das Theme Buffet bei Sam von FingerFood Nails in dieser Woche und brachte mich in Verlegenheit. Es ist ja nicht so, dass ich nicht eine lange und bewegende Zeit als Grufti hinter mir hätte (Habe ich das [hinter mir]? ), doch was verbinde ich damit?

4 In The Morning (OPI, Gwen Stefani Collection). Farbe & Finish: Schwarz mit sehr feinen silbernen Schimmerpartikeln. Der Lack trocknet mit semimatter Oberfläche, so dass ein Suede-Finish entsteht. OPI schreibt auf der Packung nichts zur Farbe, empfiehlt jedoch 'satin - no top coat'. Auftrag: Gut. Die fast optimale Textur lässt sich selbst mit dem Miniaturpinsel gut verteilen und trocknet schnell an. Leider sind zwei großzügige oder drei dünne Schichten notwendig, damit die Farbe deckend wird. Preis/Leistung: Befriedigend. Im Rahmen einer Kooperation von OPI mit Gwen Stefani war dieser Lack im Februar 2014 mit 15 ml Inhalt für 16 Euro erhältlich. Ich habe mir Miniaturset Rock Starlets bestellt und so für knappe 15 Euro je 3,75 ml Hey Baby, I Sing In Color, Love.Angel.Music.Baby. und eben 4 In The Morning erhalten.

Ein Lebensgefühl kann man schlecht auf Nägel pinseln. Und obwohl ich mittlerweile mehr Metal höre und auf meinen Nägeln sowieso alles ausprobiere, habe ich versucht einzufangen, was mich damals geprägt hat und noch immer stark beeinflusst. (Wen das näher interessiert, der mag sich gerne über 'Neue Deutsche Todeskunst' informieren.) Drei Schichten 4 In The Morning habe ich mit Striping Tape abgeklebt, die Lücken mit Wocka Wocka! (OPI, Muppets Collection), Sanguine (OPI, Go Goth!) und Designer... De Better! (OPI, Muppets Collection) gefüllt und in letzteren noch ein paar silberne Studs (BORN PRETTY) gedrückt.

Well, this week's topic for Sam's Theme Buffet at FingerFood Nails is 'Gothic' and one special prompt for me since I have been into this life style for almost half of my life. Listening mainly to metal now, I have spent years dancing and living to songs classified as Neue Deutsche Todeskunst. Yes, Gothic is way more than wearing a Halloween's costume throughout the rest of the year and it still affects my way of thinking and my sense of aesthetics. To honor those old times I created a dark but elegant geometric design on three coats of 4 In The Morning (OPI, Gwen Stefani Collection). I did not use any top coat, applied striping tape, filled with Wocka Wocka! (OPI, Muppets Collection), Sanguine (OPI, Go Goth!) and Designer... De Better! (OPI, Muppets Collection) and placed some silver studs (BORN PRETTY). By the way, 4 In The Morning is a beautiful suede black polish with lots of fine silver shimmer. Since the shimmer particles are so tiny and the effect is this subtle the polish almost ends up with the satin finish OPI advertises it to have.
